Resipi Ikan Gerut Bakar Ala Kuala Perlis

Asslamulaikun,

If you gais follow me on IG, you might notice that I’ve been to site visits from Perlis to Perak and lastly to KL. On our visit, we manage taste many type of food, especially their local food! and it was amazing! (aside from fruitful meeting at Unimap)

We were recommended by the driver and locals to dine at Restoran Api Api at Kuala Perlis, and Ya Allah, sedap gile plis ikan gerut bakar dia! I must say i’m a little surprised because it’s so different from ikan2 bakar from South Malaysia yang selalunya bersambal. So life goes on, but my mind is still thinking how can i get that yummy ikan bakar lg? lagi2 kt Johor? memang tak jumpa lah, sini ikan bakar style lain (pun sedap jugak). So I thought of recreating the recipe so my family members also get to taste that ikan bakar. Pagi-pagi lepas hantar Ayden pergi school kami pon pergi ke pasar untuk cari ikan gerut..heehe

so here’s the recipe:

1 ekor Ikan Gerut
3 biji kunyit hidup (I did with kunyit hidup, tapi kunyit serbuk also can)
2 sudu susu pekat (secukup rasa)
1 sudu kecil garam (secukup rasa)
1 sudu kecil lada sulah (secukup rasa)
3 sudu majerin/butter/planta
1 sudu minyak masak

Cara-cara buat ikan bakar:

1) kupas kunyit dan tumbuk





2) Campur semua bahan2 diatas sehinga sebati



3) Bersihkan ikan dan lumurkan bahan perab keatas ikan


4) Bakar pada api kecil



5) Sedia dihidang! makan panas2 with air asam n nasi panas, tapi I suka makan macam tu je.
